Internet installation
Hello
I'm renovating a house and fiber arrives to the house
my electrician will install a patch panel in the garage as well as the modem/router
he will also install several RG4 outlets in the house and a Wi-Fi receiver
is this the right solution for Wi-Fi throughout the house (I have stone walls)
thanks

Hello,
These will certainly be RJ45 outlets to be installed; RG4 does not exist.
How many outlets will be installed? Generally a box offers 4 output outlets
As for the wifi, what do you call a "Wifi Receiver"?
What surface do you need to cover.
For me the best solution is to use a Wifi Mesh system like TP-Link Deco. wifi 6 or 7.
We connect a module either directly to the box or to one of the outlets in a room, and if needed several others to place where we want to cover space (2 modules should be enough)
It's very hard to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there... -
Hi,
we can also take advantage of the RJ45 cabling to connect the Wi‑Fi mesh access points to the box, achieving what is generally called a backhaul ethernet for the mesh wifi. They usually have several RJ45 ports, so we connect the wall outlet port to the access point, possibly multiplexed (internal switch).
P.S. with a Wi‑Fi mesh nearby, you disable the box's Wi‑Fi, especially when it’s at the communications cabinet in the garage.
On the other hand, it isn’t the job of a general electrician to install Wi‑Fi access points; he should be content with the RJ45 outlets. What is the Wi‑Fi receiver in question?
And there you go, there you go...
But good heavens, these line breaks are tedious!!
