Error "Keep USB reader connected" on Windows 10

Hello, I have a software problem with Windows 10; indeed this error appears at every startup of my laptop (Toshiba) due to the Windows 10 installation by bootable USB key. Windows thinks the OS is still on a USB key although it is indeed on the hard drive.
I tried changing the boot order by putting the hard drive first, but nothing helps…
I would like to fix this problem because it annoys me in daily use, my PC being over 10 years old and it boots slowly and this error doesn't help things.

Hello,
If the disk were failing, we wouldn’t see this type of error but a global startup or access error.
It is likely that the USB key contained a Windows Live USB version such as Windows To Go.
You need to recreate a bootable key from the Windows ISO and whatever you prefer (Rufus or Media Creation Tool).
I don’t know if under these conditions the menu will offer to reinstall Windows over itself without data loss; otherwise you’ll need to externally back up your data and then reinstall the programs.
