    Hello,

We cannot extract random video clips from just any film... It depends on how it was produced, what encoding is used... etc.. in short, you need to know the file well... and VLC is not to blame... You need to use a "Video Editor" and at the end, recompile the residual film.

For that, you should use "MediaInfo" to analyze the starting content.

Next, I recommend "Avidemux" to cut, extract and recompile the output film.

You should not cut a video anywhere; you need to position yourself at the "pilot" frames.

And you also need to know how to start over.

There is also "VSDC Free Video Editor"... but you have to "Plan" (Plan-chair?)
