Problem with VLC media file (.asf) Solved

Hello
After transferring many videos from my PC to an external hard drive, there is one that I wanted to rename and even delete. Impossible! These two actions are refused.
This video is a VLC media file .asf.
What can I do to remove it?

Thank you very much, ziggurat, for your helpfulness and the speed of your reply. I have therefore downloaded Unlocker and tried to use it. Unfortunately without success. This software, when I open it, gives me the list of blocked folders or files and offers to unlock them, but the one I want to delete does not appear. When, after right-clicking on this video, I select "Delete," a window opens and tells me “Preparing to recycle” and it starts to “spin” (I left it running for half an hour) with no result. During this half hour, I saw: Name: (none) Time remaining: calculating Remaining items: calculating. Despite your help, I have not progressed, but thank you anyway: you are very kind. Sincerely.
