Hi,

Avoid making double posts.

software update psp#0

As for your problem, how did this happen?
Did you turn off your PSP during the update?

Try turning it back on and off, removing the battery, and then turning it back on. If that does nothing, I'm afraid your PSP might be bricked. The only way to get it working again is to put a chip in it, or to take it back to where you bought it.

Your response is over 2 years late. Viruses do not affect the PSP.

Hello everyone,

I have a PSP version 1000 (1st version), I cracked it but now I want to update to version 6.31 that I downloaded from the official site (to install FF7 downloaded via MediaGO for €9.99). I followed the instructions (plug in the console, move the "eboot.pbp" file to the memory stick PSP>GAME>UPDATE) - I formatted my 8GB memory stick beforehand (so it's no longer cracked) - then I went to game -> memory stick - I managed to launch the update, I went through all the steps (accepting the conditions and everything) but at the moment of launching, an error message appears -> "memory stick improperly inserted, do not disconnect the power" (or something like that) and then nothing, it asks me to revalidate and so on without starting the update. I tried removing the card, blowing inside it and anyway, there is no error with reading the memory stick since the update is recognized. I'm stuck, I can't update and MediaGo forces me to update in order to put FF7 on my PSP.
PS: I cannot connect to Wi-Fi (no connection)

Thank you for providing a solution to my problem, I've been searching for several days but nothing. I appreciate any information as it would be a great help

Thank you all!

We're searching, we're searching but in the end: no answer! Tss and if the warranty is no longer valid, what do we do? The only solution is to buy another PSP, working all summer because of a malfunctioning update! Great! Well, good luck to everyone, I hope you won't spend your days on your PSP trying to figure out how to fix it yourself! Yeah Good Luck! ^^'

Are you able to turn on your PSP?

Which firmware are you on? Did you try a downgrade and bricked it?

I was on version 3.52 M33 and I bricked it by updating to 3.71 M33
Yes, I can turn it on, but the screen stays black and it won't charge, and even when I press the brightness button, nothing happens. Thank you for trying to help me troubleshoot.

Did you have a custom firmware before? (unofficial)

with custom firmware, the warranty is void,

so the after-sales service solution is out of the question.

For the double post, I made a mistake; otherwise, what is this link you provided? It seems incomplete.

C'est simple, je pense qu'il y a un virus dans votre ordinateur, formatage de votre système PSP.
