Four operators impose termination fees without commitment.

Three mobile operators, Bouygues Telecom, NRJ Mobile, Cdiscount Mobile, and Auchan Telecom, recently introduced cancellation fees for their non-binding plans. Bouygues Telecom initiated this movement, impacting all its offers, from 1 to 200 GB. The other operators quickly followed this directive by integrating these fees starting from May 18, 2026. These changes affect not only new customers but also those currently under contract. What do you think? Could this new model hinder consumers' freedom of choice?

    No commitment plan. NO COMMITMENT, so no cancellation fees. You should consult specialized lawyers in this field.

      It's all clear: commitment means a contract for a duration, with no potential additional fees.

      But if you want to pay lawyer's fees to contest the generally observed €5 and end up losing more than those €5, it's up to you.

      Consumers always find subscriptions too expensive, but France is one of the developed countries where they are significantly the lowest.

      In a highly competitive market, operators only make profits on those low-priced offers over time; these new provisions are the result of those who change every 6 months (and one must also factor in the cost of the new SIM) to scrape together a few extra cents or euros.

      You can't have your cake and eat it too; for a long time, there have been much higher cancellation fees in contracts with commitment, but these are often reimbursed by the new operator.
