The cartridge carriage is not responding.

Hello,
My printer is a Canon MG3600 series. When I open the front panel of the printer to remove the cartridge, the carriage doesn't move, and the small door of the carriage doesn't open.
The printer is properly plugged in and switched on. There are no pending jobs; the queue is empty. I tried unplugging and plugging it back in, but nothing works.
Do you know what to do in such a case?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,
usually, as soon as it's powered on, the cart performs a movement test, going back and forth... Is that still the case..?
If so, unplug the 220 socket during this movement; then, you can move the cart by hand, in both directions, and assess whether the movement is smooth..? or very stiff..??
Take the moment to check with a flashlight if there’s any obstacle in the way that might be hindering that movement..?

Hello,
The problem may be due to a stuck printer cartridge or a mechanical malfunction. You can try completely unplugging the device to reset it, or pressing the "Power" and "Stop/Reset" buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds, then releasing them to perform a reset.
