How to activate Office 2016 on my Mac 10.13.6?

I would like to install Office 2016 on my 2010 Mac because all other versions are not compatible with my operating system.
I had Office 2008 for Mac, but I could no longer do what "I wanted" with that version.
I uninstalled it properly.
I can only fill in my email address and then nothing...
Thank you in advance to anyone who could help me clearly given my advanced age.

Good evening,
For macOS 10.13, also known as High Sierra, the last compatible version of MS Office is version 2011.
As far as I know, this version is no longer provided by Microsoft.
A possible solution would be to use LibreOffice instead of MS Office.
I believe that for macOS 10.13, the latest possible version of LibreOffice is 7.4.5

In theory, under High Sierra, it is perfectly possible to install Office 2016 version 16.16.27 or even Office 2019 version 16.43 (from November 2020). Can you describe the current situation in more detail? Have you installed a version of Office? Which one exactly? How are you proceeding? What should we understand by "I can just fill in my email address and then nothing happens" (where do you enter this address, for what purpose,...) ? What do you observe afterwards (error message,...) ?
Furthermore, we must not lose sight of the fact that High Sierra is very much obsolete and it is becoming increasingly difficult to get this version accepted. For example, about a year ago, on a machine running El Capitan, I saw a version of Office that was fully operational until then get disabled "before my eyes". And then, it was impossible for me to log in again; when entering the password, I was just faced with a blank screen. Version too old. I imagine this could happen again with the release of Tahoe...

I downloaded "Office 2016" and it installed fine... but when I try to open the Word application or any other function, it's the same: I click on Word and a window opens welcoming me and asking me to enter my email address: I do that and then nothing happens! I tried to start over after restarting but it's the same!
The problem is that I uninstalled Office 2008 and now I have nothing left!
Thank you if you can provide me with a solution to this problem.tatine05

Is it version 16.16.27 that you installed Office 2016? If so, I'm afraid you might be in the same situation as I described: refusal to proceed due to the macOS version being too old...
If that's not the case, try your luck with the "final" version of Office 2016, which you can download from this link (direct download from the Microsoft site).
