Hello,

I just changed the hard drive on an HP ProBook 4540s and installed Windows 10, but I don't have Wi-Fi.

Is there a compatible driver available?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards.

Hello,

Do you have a wired Ethernet network?

If yes, you can try updating all available drivers as well as additional gaming components with this Giveaway program.

/!\ Be careful, uncheck or do not click on optional offers during the installation /!\

https://giveaway.tickcoupon.com/iobit-driver-booster-pro-license-key-free/

Look under License code to use the Pro version in Giveaway.

Once you are done with the program, and after each use, it is better to disable less useful scheduled tasks in the Driver Booster program, and in the (Search for in Windows): Task Scheduler.

> Task Scheduler Library.

Windows + R
Type --> devmgmt.msc and OK.

In the device manager
Do you have a section --> Other devices ?
If yes, what is the problematic device?

Try these 2 drivers
--> 3D DriveGuard
--> JMicron

For the wireless, go into the BIOS and check if the wireless/LAN is properly enabled

Choose --> extract to "sp71714\"

Go to Device Manager
Right-click on the device --> ACPI\VEN_HPQ&DEV_6000
Update driver
-->> Browse my computer for driver software <<–
-->> Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer <<–
-->> Have Disk <<–
-->> Browse <<–
Go to the unzipped driver folder --> sp71714
Folder --> InstallFiles
Folder --> Win10
Select the file --> accelerometer.inf and OK.
Restart.

 Regarding the wireless: at the end a message: card absent....

Did the wifi work before you reinstalled Windows 10?

If so, it’s possible that the card is out of order???

Try a USB wifi adapter.

The response: Windows encountered a problem.......(code 48)

The Wi-Fi was working, the card is present, I will use a Wi-Fi dongle.

Thank you for your help.

In the device manager, is there anything corresponding to the network controller?

For the device ACPI\VEN_HPQ&DEV_6000:
Right-click on the device
Uninstall
Check --> Attempt to remove the driver for this device or remove the device
Uninstall

Go to the unzipped driver folder --> sp71714
Folder --> InstallFiles
Folder --> Win10
Right-click on the file --> accelerometer.inf
Click on --> Install and confirm
Restart

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Go to the device manager
Click on --> Action
Scan for hardware changes.

What does it show for the ACPI.....?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Perform an sfc scan:
Windows key + X
Select --> Windows PowerShell (admin)
Type --> sfc /scannow and hit enter

A system file check will take place.

I did what you asked, the apci is ok

I still see a problem with the accelerometer

You mention that the apci is okay, so no more alerts regarding this device.

 I still see a problem with the accelerometer

What is the problem?

Have you run the sfc?

I ran SFC, it fixed some issues and in the device manager, the accelerometer has a yellow mark indicating a problem.

I disabled its startup since I had an error message at boot.

Since then, everything works without error messages.

The only thing missing is the wifi, but I will use a USB dongle.

I'm stopping since I can't upgrade it to win 11.

Thank you for your always effective help.

See you soon for sure.

I don’t know how to end the session?
