Hello.

I recently got a Samsung A56 5G.

I can't send or receive MMS, over Wi-Fi.

But I can do it on 4G/5G.

I'm a newbie in this area: Can you help me please?

I thought about creating a routine (I saw it online) that switches to mobile data when using Messages: but I don't know how to do it.

Hello,

In the Phone app, click on the three dots in the upper right corner, then go to Settings.

Scroll down to Wi-Fi Calling and enable the option.

What we understand well is clearly expressed,
And the words to say it come easily.

Unfortunately, it isn't working.

The MMS sending is looping and failing.

With a message like: unable to send without mobile data.

I'm lost and confused.

It doesn't seem to matter much to me since in most plans MMS are not counted against the data limit.

It seems to me, but I am not an expert on the matter, that even if Wi-Fi calls are enabled on capable phones, they automatically switch to the 4G/5G network unless the reception is too weak.

I read elsewhere that there seemed to be an influence from the Box operator in this context, some would agree to route SMS only in VoWifi mode, not MMS: test to see what the situation is.

Hello.

I'm with SFR.

My old smartphone, a Xiaomi Mi 10 T Lite, didn't have this issue.

It’s probably a function of the phone, or maybe the version of Android, which is older compared to the new phone.

In any case, it's nothing serious, just annoying. ^^

I'll have to remember to activate mobile data if I want to send or receive media.
