Table of contents, do not open chapters

Hello,

the table of contents does not open and does not sort the chapters, even though they have been properly written.

I have from I (page 1) to XVII (141) and then following

XIX (page 27, then page 2, 2, 6, 7) to XX.

Has anyone encountered this problem before?

    Yes; but I had my file in front of me... That's not the case for you; we don't have your file!

    "yet they were indeed written": that's what you say! I'm not so sure at all!

    Retirement is nice! Especially in the Caribbean...
