LibreOffice Writer

Good evening

I have Libre Office Writer installed, which I find complicated. My recipient cannot open the files I send them as attachments that are formatted as ODF Text.

If I go to File/Save As, should I click on Word 2007? Or something else?

Previously, I had Office Word and had no problems like this. Is there a way to avoid this workaround?

Thank you, have a good weekend.

Hello,

In my opinion, .odt or .docx files are working documents that should not be shared with correspondents.

It is much better to send PDF files that are easy to open.

In LibreOffice Writer, click on File > Export As > Export as PDF.

Do not modify the proposed options and simply click on Export.

Send your correspondent the PDF file that was created.

Hello,

Have you tried saving it with the extension --> .doc or .docx?

I was installed Libre Office Writer which I find complicated.

You can try a very lightweight word processor --> Atlantis Version Light <<--

Hello.

Save in .odt format to see how it looks.

Otherwise, Writer is definitely not more complicated than Word!

The second link is non-functional, here it is corrected:

Use Excel to open or save a spreadsheet in Open Document Spreadsheet (.ods) format
