5120x1440 Resolution on Mac and PC

Hello,
I recently bought a 32:9 5120x1440 screen to connect to 2 computers:
- MacBook Pro M1 (the very first one, not M1 Pro)
- PC tower with an i5-7400 that also handles the display
Problem: my M1 Mac only supports this resolution at 30Hz, I can manage with that, but it's not great... should I wait to get an M4 (which I hope will support it) or is there an affordable way to boost its graphics capabilities?
For my PC tower, I would like to add a graphics card that can handle this screen at least at 60Hz, preferably a bit more considering it will be used for office work, so no gaming and naturally always on a tight budget. PCIe 3.0.
Do you have any advice?
Thanks in advance

Hello
At a glance, without digging deeper, I would lean towards a bandwidth limitation of the graphics connector on the M1, and from there, there wouldn't be anything more to gain.
That said, I doubt it will be that useful for work/office tasks, so it’s better to leave it as it is without it being a reason to change; the benefit of 60Hz is quickly limited in this usage.
Such a resolution at 60Hz requires +12Gbits/s of bandwidth, so at a minimum, look for HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort 1.2. Prefer HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4 for HDR.
There are graphics cards that handle this for office use; for example, the 3050 (specs tab, "View all specs", at the bottom)

Thank you very much.
Regarding the PC, indeed, I had noticed the 3050; I was also wondering about the T400, but the 3050 will be more versatile.
As for the Mac, it's livable; I indeed think I will wait to change it. I was wondering about this because I believe there are Thunderbolt enclosures that allow increasing the number of monitors for the first generation of M1/M2. But since it's not really clear which one could support such resolution on a single monitor, it's difficult.
