Backup on Norton

Hello everyone.
Norton has changed everything in its new version (why make it simple when you can make it complicated).
I do not want to use the cloud and wish to back up to an external hard drive. Norton seems to only offer the cloud?
Do you have a tip (for an old-timer, so simple and clear)?
Thank you

Hello,
Are you talking about system backups (Ghost)? -
I use O&O DiskImage 17 in Giveaway (Free)
Note: Giveaways aren't eternal; right now, it's a lifetime free license for 1 PC, but in the future, you'll need to find other Giveaways, whether they release version 18 or 19...

To backup files in synchronization to a second internal drive, I also use O&O Autobackup 6 in Giveaway

Hello,
Norton only seems to offer cloud storage?
After all, it's normal; they won't manage your personal backups on an external hard drive at your home!

Otherwise, in simpler terms, (once your external hard drive is connected to your PC…) just right-click on the item (file or another…) you want to send to your hard drive and then click on the hard drive listed in the context menu).
You can also use copy-paste by right-clicking.

Hello
I don't think it's Norton Ghost, because to my knowledge, it has been discontinued and stopped at version 15, which wasn't even compatible with Windows 10. I think it's more likely Norton 360, which comes with cloud storage (10, 50 GB or more).

This is a storage volume offered with the subscription; the built-in backup utility only backs up files and folders, and it can be configured, although it’s tedious. And it doesn't create a system image.

Hello,
Ghost has become a generic name, like Frigidaire.
I ended up getting rid of them in favor of another utility, which is also old, I had a whole collection.
Some site claims that a Windows version of Ghost would still work on Windows 10, I have doubts, but nothing prevents common sense (there are simpler solutions today) from using the executable in the command line as long as it is 32-bit and not 16, I no longer remember and I can no longer check.
