Hello,

I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro and I have checked all the sound settings and I can't disable the keypress sound. It reactivated by itself or after a system update a few days ago.

Problem solved. It was necessary to go through the Google Gboard keyboard settings.

    Hello,

Look in the Sound and vibration settings of your mobile... Keyboard sound.

    Hello,

    Excerpt from https://brain-start.fr/comment-enlever-le-son-des-touches-sur-xiaomi-redmi-note-8-pro/

Start by going to the "Settings" of your Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro and then click on the "Sounds and notifications" section. Next, click on "Other sounds" and disable the "Key sounds" option.

      Hello.

There is no section for Sounds and notifications. It is "Sounds and vibrations" and there is no option for Key tones.

        Sorry..

Not using this type of smartphone, I can only refer to the manual. If it is not accurate, I can't help you.

This notice is incorrect. There is no "Sounds and Notifications" section. It is "Sounds and Vibrations."

    Hello,

Actually, the problem is more complicated than it seems.

    1) If it's about disabling a sound from the keyboard, it can be adjusted in the keyboard settings, which can be accessed when the keyboard is displayed, or by going through the menu Settings > General management > Keyboard settings.
Note that not all keyboards allow you to add a sound when you press a key; Gboard does.

    2) If it's about disabling the sound that you hear as soon as you interact with the touch functions of the smartphone (keyboard included), you need to go to Settings > Sounds and vibrations > System sound.

Bring the volume down to 0.

Hoping that the Xiaomi menus are the usual Android menus...
