Hello.

While using my payroll software Sage, this message appeared: Exception end of input no. 246 screen 150 sage payroll. I closed the software and restarted, but the message still appears on opening along with a second message: Class not registered ClassID.

When using the payroll software with multiple applications, my PC is lagging; is this due to memory issues that the payroll software stopped with these messages?

How can I resolve this and be able to use my Sage payroll software again? Thank you very much for the urgent response please.

Hello,

The errors you are encountering may be caused by various issues, including corrupted files, registry problems, or missing dependencies.

We will go through it in 5 steps:

1. Fix corrupted files and re-register necessary DLL files
- Open the command prompt as an administrator (right-click on the Start menu, "Windows PowerShell (admin)").
- Type the following commands and press Enter after each one. The first 2 should be rerun as long as they find errors.

sfc /scannow
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
regsvr32 msxml3.dll
regsvr32 msxml6.dll
regsvr32 scrrun.dll
regsvr32 jscript.dll
regsvr32 vbscript.dll

2. Update Windows and dependencies
- Go to "Settings" -> "Update & Security" -> "Windows Update" and click on Check for updates.
- Restart your computer after each group of updates completed.
Sage may also depend on Visual C++ redistributables. Make sure you have the necessary versions installed.
- Download and install the necessary versions of Visual C++ redistributables from the official Microsoft website.

3. Repair the Sage installation
- "Settings" -> "Applications"
- Find Sage in the list of installed programs.
- Select Sage and click on "Repair" if this option is available.

4. Check and repair the Windows registry
- Download and install CCleaner.
- Open CCleaner and go to the "Registry" tab.
- Click on "Search for issues" then "Fix selected issues".

5. Contact Sage technical support
- Type eventvwr in a command prompt.
- Go to "Application and Service Logs" -> "Applications".
- Look for errors or warnings related to Sage
- Note the details to share with Sage technical support.

If all the above steps were not sufficient AND the support does not respond:
6. ####### Reinstall Sage #######
- Back up any data you can.
- "Settings" -> "Applications"
- Find Sage in the list of installed programs.
- Select Sage and click on "Uninstall"
- Download the latest version of Sage from the official website or use the installation media you have.
- Reinstall the software following the provided instructions.
