Unable to install Google Chrome

Hello,

A few days ago, my Google Chrome started acting weird. While I was turning my head, Google Chrome closed by itself, and when I relaunched it, everything was fine. Just after that, it shut down again, and when I came back, my Google account was no longer connected and the interface of Google Chrome had changed to look like an "older" version (like from about a year ago), and at the same time it told me that the version of Chrome is outdated even though it was literally up to date just a minute ago. So I had to uninstall and reinstall it, and then during the installation, there was a message saying "Unable to connect to the Internet. If you are using a firewall, please add GoogleUpdate.exe to the allow list." Despite doing what was requested and running a Windows Defender scan and updating the computer, nothing works. I am on Windows 10, and I am not using any antivirus other than Windows Defender.

Thank you for your help.
