Blacklisted IMEI 1 iPhone, functional E-SIM?

Hello,

I recently bought a second-hand iPhone 14 Pro that turned out to be blacklisted on IMEI 1 (meaning no physical SIM card works on it), due to the previous owner’s unpaid plan.

I contacted the carrier, and they said there was nothing they could do.

So I was wondering, since IMEI 2 (the eSIM one) is perfectly clean, could I use it with an eSIM?

Another question, is it possible to use a physical SIM while traveling abroad?

    Hello,

     I recently bought a second-hand iPhone 14 Pro...

Have you performed a reset (factory reset) on this iPhone... https://www.commentcamarche.net/mobile/ios/583-effacer-completement-un-iphone/

It’s the IMEI that is blocked; a system reset wouldn’t solve this problem at all, plus it was in factory condition at the time of purchase.

You will have to go through the Apple platform.
