Free WiFi Repeater Question

Hello,
I have a question for those who have an internet subscription with Free and who have the wifi repeater updated with the latest software version..
If this repeater is connected via cable to an RJ45 socket, and the pop box or another has the wifi disabled, will the repeater still emit wifi?
Thanks to those who will know or who will test :)
Best regards

Hello,
I don't have Free, nor this repeater, but if you connect this repeater as you indicated, I think it will work very well as an access point, like all wifi access points.
This is actually a network architecture that I highly recommend, much more effective than the wifi repeater.
Unless Free has added something weird, but if they are clean in their system (they are usually quite meticulous about that, unlike Orange), there shouldn't be any problem, the only concern is that you have to return the AP at the end of the contract.
And there you go, voilà ....
But goodness, how annoying the line spacing is!!
Hello
I just did some research, and I read that apparently, before version 1.9.9 of the Free repeater's firmware, it did not work as an access point. It was absolutely necessary for the box's Wi-Fi to be enabled for the repeater to send Wi-Fi even if it was plugged into an Ethernet socket!
Apparently, version 1.9.9 has fixed part of this issue but I can't find any confirmation.
Currently with Orange, I managed for several months to make the Orange Wi-Fi 6 repeater function as an access point, but for a few months now that hasn't been working anymore. I have to enable the Livebox's Wi-Fi as well. It's probably due to an update...
I would really like to get this function back with Free, even though it's a Wi-Fi 5 repeater and not Wi-Fi 6...
There's got to be someone here with the Free repeater connected via Ethernet, right? :)
Thanks
I don't know the specifics, but you can study the discussions about the current state in the Free developers channel to learn more.
