Locked keyboard: Nokia 3310

Hello,
I decided to use a Nokia 3310 (the one from 2000) to replace my phone. I managed to insert my SIM and guess the password of the previous owner. However, I'm stuck at this stage.
The keyboard is locked and it asks me to press Activate and then *. The Activate key works, but when I press *, it shows that the keyboard is locked. I can't even access the menu.
I can't turn off the phone because the off key is also disabled; I have to disconnect the battery. I've tried holding * down for a long time, pressing Activate at the same time, I’ve tested pressing the power button, etc... Nothing unlocks it.
Does anyone have any idea?
Thank you in advance!

Hello,
<< and guess the password of the former owner >>
And what does the former owner think about the fact that you are going to access this personal data?
Article 323-1
Accessing or remaining, fraudulently, in whole or in part in an automated data processing system is punishable by three years of imprisonment and a fine of €100,000.

Hello @Mathematix StatusMember.
I suppose that given the age of the phone, the seller on Leboncoin no longer had the manual.
I have the manual from that time (1998) for you to download click on:

Hoping you find a solution there.

Hello,
If the problem is indeed a screen lock issue (key symbol displayed on the screen) and not a security code.
The manual on page 35 does indeed provide the procedure to lock or unlock the keyboard

The procedure mentions the "Menu" (Activate) and "*." keys to unlock
We also need to find Activate in the menu and press *. briefly
As for the security code, if it hasn't been changed, it is originally 12345
see the manual provided by bazfile on page 17
Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there... -

Remove the battery and press and hold the power button for 1 minute, then wait a little for a quarter of an hour, then reinsert the battery and check if it works.
