The DVD player on the Freebox Revolution is a BluRay player.

" Play a CD or DVD on the Freebox Revolution

Wait for the option to Play Disk to be available but do not click on it (important!). Go to the menu on the right, My Discs, and select the DVD player. The contents of the DVD disk will be displayed, and you just need to launch your file. "

Also check that it is not locked.
