Install an app on iPhone using a file
paul -
Hello, I wonder if it's possible to install an application on iPhone like on Android with an .apk file. If I understand correctly, iOS application files are in .ipa format; would it be possible to download an .ipa file from the internet and execute it to install the application without going through the App Store?
This would be for developing an application for personal use, and I would like to be able to simply install it on my phone without going through the App Store.
Thank you in advance!

Hey
is it possible to download a .ipa file from the internet
Uh no, that's actually not the goal, quite the opposite.
Microsoft made Windows, then creates an ISO to install it on a device.
You do a bit of the same with your app to install it on an iPhone.

What is it and why?
Reverse process, you make your app, then you create an ipa to install it on your iPhone.
So you can create your ipa file for what you're asking, basically.

One way to use it correctly:
