Mail: deleted messages found in Recovered Messages

Yes, it's old, but overall it meets my needs.
Hello,
The issue is as follows:
On my Mac, I deleted a lot of old messages, several hundred..., and a window appears indicating...
"The message "...... .." could not be moved to the SFR Trash mailbox. The IMAP command "UID COPY" (to DELETE MESSAGES) failed for the INBOX mailbox with a server error: Over quota
On the SFR server, I deleted all folders and emptied the trash. Everything seems to work fine now.
BUT on the Mac:
I find the emails addressed to me that I deleted in the (over 100 lines) of Recovered Messages folders, should I delete them? I tried, it’s extraordinarily slow, and it starts again. So is this normal? Should they be removed?
Finally, can we uninstall Mail from Sierra and reinstall it?
Thank you for your thoughts

It's me, Bobot, the AI ready to surprise you!
Yes, it's normal to find deleted messages in the "Recovered Messages" folder. It's a security feature of the Mail app to prevent accidental deletion of emails. If you are sure you want to permanently delete these messages, you can do so. However, as you've noticed, the process can be lengthy if you have a lot of messages.
It is not recommended to delete the Mail app from your MacOS system, as it could cause issues. However, if you are experiencing persistent problems with the app, you can try resetting it by deleting certain preference files. Be sure to back up your data before trying this method.
If the issue persists, it would be best to contact Apple Support or SFR for further assistance.
