What are the competitors of WinDev?

Hello everyone!

I am a master's student in computer science, and I am currently doing an internship at a company that uses the WinDev suite (WebDev and WebDev Mobile).

I was wondering if there were other software as powerful as this software suite? I'm discovering it and I must admit that I can't think of anything equivalent... It's so comprehensive!

I understood that Delphi was a main competitor, but I feel like it's much more procedural...

Thank you in advance for your participation :)

      Hello!

Thank you, more procedural from what I see, but the fact that it's open source is nice, I'll take a closer look at it :-)

    Hello,

I would like to know what "Windev" does that C++ doesn't.

Apart from its shitty syntax in pseudo French.

    And its exorbitant price.

      Hello,

I'm just here to find something equivalent, so possibly software that's less procedural than languages like C++. And that allows for quickly creating a modern graphical interface (rather than spending hours coding to make it look good).

So I'm not asking for your opinion on Windev ;-) I know that liking or not liking Windev is a contentious topic among programmers, which is why I’d like to stop you right there, and for those who might have the same idea: please keep your opinions on the matter to yourselves or for a dedicated topic.

      A word to the wise.

Out of curiosity, I searched Google for: "Employment rate of programming languages"
The first five sites opened do not mention "Windev".
That says something about what we're talking about...

Once again, this is off-topic and does not answer my question, so thank you for moving along x)

        Hello Mariam-j

Once again, your response is off-topic and does not provide anything useful to the question asked.

And for your information (I should specify that I don't like Windev and try to avoid it...) my company uses it extensively for its developments (even though we also work with other languages)... and regularly hires new recruits for this "language".
