Wireless Printing with Epson WF-2510
SolvedHello,
I have an Epson WF-2510 printer and while printing from my phone and laptop is a breeze, I can't figure out how to do it from my PC. Under Windows, I finally managed to do it, but not yet under Mageia. So I have to transfer to one of these two means to print, which is definitely not quick.
Thank you for your contribution, which will help more than one, I'm sure.
Best regards, Dan.

Hello,
- Have you read the Mageia tutorial on printers?
- Have you installed the package that allows you to install Epson drivers? I don’t know the name of the package in Mageia (it’s called printer-driver-escpr for Debian-based distributions and probably has a similar name in your case)?
- Have you installed CUPS and set up your printer in it?
- If you don’t know what that is, look at this page (it’s Ubuntu documentation, but apart from the CUPS installation, the configuration part should be the same). The important thing is to understand that if CUPS (the print server) is running, you can configure it via http://localhost:631/admin and from there set up your printer. If it is set up in CUPS, your other applications (which all rely on CUPS) will be able to print.
- Is the CUPS service running? Can you print a test page from the CUPS interface?
Good luck
Hello
Thank you for this detailed response. Everything was fine, but I deleted all the previously installed printers and started again:
Downloaded the 3 drivers: epson escpr, utility, and scanner. Then went to "Tools/Print Configuration" and reinstalled the printer by selecting for the wifi: socket://192.168.1.21:9100 and finally everything followed on the printer: network connection, box password... and there you go.
