NVME not detected during Windows 11 installation problem
SolvedCELESTE -
Hello,
I just bought the MSI Katana 15 B12VGK-240-XFR, and it has no OS. I want to install Windows 11 on it, but it doesn't detect any drives... yet when I go into the BIOS, the NVME drive is indeed present.
I can't find any drivers to load during the installation to fix this problem. I always end up with drivers that are not compatible with the hardware...
Do you have a solution? It's quite incredible to have this kind of problem considering we are on the 12th Generation and that NVME drives have been used for a long time.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Resolved, I finally found the right drivers!
For those struggling like I was, here’s the solution:
Go to the manufacturer’s website (in my case MSI), find your laptop. You will have access to the drivers.
Go to the Drivers section, Intel Rapid Storage Technology, then download: Intel Rapid Storage Technology F6 Driver. That’s the one that contains the right drivers to install during the Windows installation.
Extract the folder and place it on your Windows installation media.
During the Windows installation, if you don’t see any disks, click on load driver, then select the folder f6vmdflpy-x64 that you just added to your media. It will detect the drivers, you just have to install them, and voilà the disks appear.
There you go.
It's still incredible to have this kind of problem when we are on a 12th Generation and NVME has been used for a long time.
That's not the problem, it's W11 that doesn't manage the SSD because it doesn't have the driver.
For your information, if you choose to create a bootable media to install Windows, you should know that not all drivers are included (same goes for Rufus), you need to choose the ISO to have all the integrated drivers.
