Hello.

A small green circle with a check mark suddenly appears on all the icons on my desktop:

This small drawing cannot be unchecked or checked; I don't see what it is for. It has appeared on all the desktop thumbnails (not in File Explorer) and for the shortcuts, it has replaced the arrow indicating that the thumbnail is a shortcut.

What is this due to?

How can I remove it?

Thank you.

    Thanks bazfile.

I was able to unsynchronize OneDrive and I've got my usual desktop interface back. Problem solved.

Personal comment that won't move things forward but feels good: Fed up with Windows 11 and its online accounts and services because Microsoft is forcing the issue. It's dishonest!

    Hello.

If you have made a backup on OneDrive, that's normal.

Hello bazfile, thanks for your reply.

I did indeed respond to a repeated request for Windows configurations regarding OneDrive and other services. I couldn't delete these requests, only postpone them. I replied but, apparently, by systematically refusing everything.

Is there a way to turn back?
