Hello,

I'm going completely nuts with Windows 11 and its update problems.

Here are my Windows specifications:
Edition: Windows 11 Professional
Version: 22H2
Installed on: 20/04/2023
OS Build: 22621.525
Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22634.1000.0

I already had a major problem with updates just a few days after installing Windows in May 2023 (BSOD and a huge hassle to recover the system), and since that problem, I couldn't perform any updates (Windows Update stopped working). I ran a - sfc /scannow and repaired the errors found, as well as restarted the Windows Update services, which allowed me to recover Windows Update. Unfortunately... A few months later, this wonderful update titled: "Windows 11, version 22H2" is released. I don't understand, my system seems to already be on this version, so why is the update being offered to me? Moreover, it doesn't work and gives the error code: "0x80248007" every time I try to install it. Additionally, in the history, I have an update with the same name that supposedly installed on 30/09/2023, next to which it says "Discover new features", result; I no longer understand anything.
Here are the links to the screenshots:

  1. System Information
  2. Update History
  3. Windows Update Error

So there you go, if anyone has a solution for this update that doesn't work (I'm on my nth attempt, I'm fed up) and an explanation for this kind of duplicate update with the same name...
Thank you in advance, and I apologize if I haven't been clear.

The links are not working in my topic, so I'm providing the screenshots in response:

    Hello,

Have you tried a repair without data loss?

To perform a repair without data loss, use the link to download an ISO file of Windows 11

    https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/software-download/windows11

Once the file is downloaded, open it with 7-Zip and extract everything into a folder anywhere except directly on C:\

    https://www.7-zip.org/download.html

Click on the setup.exe that is in the extracted folder.

Already done precisely to be able to recover Windows after the BSOD in May.

    Eureka!
I simply reinstalled Windows 11 without data loss for the second time (with the 22h2 iso and not the 21h2), once done, I started to grumble since the same problem persisted... I therefore tried again using the command prompt to restart Win Update (net stop wuauserv net stop cryptSvc net stop bits net stop msiserver ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 catroot2.old net start wuauserv net start cryptSvc net start bits net start msiserver) and after restarting: oh miracle!
Finally, it's been weeks that I've been pulling my hair out.
