Hello! I hope you're all doing well in this house..

Sorry to bother you with my questions.. I'm an amateur..

1- If the elevation is at 50°, can we aim for a transponder signal 12530/30000?

2- Can we aim for a signal 12530/30000 at an elevation of 80°?

Yes, in theory, you can point a transponder signal at any elevation as long as its value is between 0 and 90 degrees. The important thing is that you must have a correct alignment between your satellite dish, the transponder, and the satellite itself.
Regarding your second question, the same logic applies; you can point at an elevation of 80º if the satellite you want to reach is at that exact position in the sky. Elevation is the angle between the horizon line and the direct line of sight to the satellite in the sky, so it all depends on the satellite's position relative to your location.

However, caution is needed. Not all frequency and symbol rate values (12530/30000 in your case) are valid for all satellites. These values depend on the specific transponders on each satellite. Therefore, you also need to verify that these values are correct for the satellite you wish to receive.
