my answering machine is not taking messages, I followed the instructions and nothing!!

    Hello,

    If you indeed have an Alcatel F860 Voice (base with multiple buttons and display)

    Points to check:

     - The answering machine is set to "Recorder answering machine" (REP.ENREG)

     - The number of rings before answer is not set too high.
    Operators usually set their voicemail to trigger after 5 rings; a good setting for your answering machine is 4 rings.

    - Finally, the answering machine must be activated using the button on the base.

    It is very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
    Especially when it's not there...
