On Gmail, when I write text, there are no automatic capitalizations at the beginning of sentences or after a period?

Gmail currently does not have the feature to automatically capitalize the first letters after a period. It is up to the user to manually enter the capital letters. If you are using Gmail through a browser, you might use an extension that adds this feature. Otherwise, if you frequently write emails, you might consider using an email composition tool that has this functionality.
