Disable SD card backup (Galaxy S20 Fe 5G)

Hello,

I just got a Samsung Galaxy S20 Fe 5G. When I finished transferring my data to the new smartphone, I saw that the internal storage was almost full, even though I have an SD card.

After some research, I discovered a new folder that appeared in the internal storage called SdCardBackUp. As its name suggests, it backs up the contents of my Micro SD card. I deleted its contents, which significantly freed up internal storage space. I searched everywhere to disable this backup option, but I couldn't find anything (before I had the Galaxy S20 Fe 4G, but I didn't have this backup folder).

Does anyone know how to do this, please?

Thank you in advance for your help :)

Hello,

It usually results from the data transfer from the old phone via Samsung Smart Switch or equivalent; it should be enough to delete it without it being incremented again, unless, perhaps, the infamous transfer software has been left active on the phone.
