Hello, could you explain to me how to access the ASHA protocol? I have a Xiaomi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G, but my hearing aids do not connect via Bluetooth. I would like to know how to test, enable, or disable this protocol. My hearing aids are from the brand Widex. Thank you very much.

Of course, I have already asked this question on a Xiaomi forum without getting any answers. Could you help me understand how to access the ASHA protocol to resolve the Bluetooth connection issue with my Widex hearing aids on my Xiaomi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G? Thank you in advance.

Hello
I don't use this technology, but it seems that its presence depends on the manufacturer's decision AND the Android version. In this brand, some people indicate that the protocol is supported with Android 10, 13, and 14, but not 11 and 12.
I don't think there's necessarily anything specific to enable; it could be "coupled" with the activation of Bluetooth.
Unfortunately, as with everything specific, only the manufacturer could confirm this, or possibly the user manual.

1. Connect your hearing device to your smartphone via Bluetooth: "Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Bluetooth". Look for the name of your hearing device in the list of available devices and pair it.

2. Then, go to: "Settings > Accessibility > Hearing aids". If your smartphone supports ASHA, you should see the option "audio streaming for hearing aids" that you can enable.

If you do not see this option, it is possible that your smartphone does not support ASHA.

Best regards
