No sound for SMS on Xiaomi

Hello,

It's been over 2 months now that I have no sound when receiving SMS.

I have indeed checked all sound and notification settings, and I want to emphasize that my phone is not in silent mode and that everything has been verified several times.

I attempted a complete battery drain, before recharging it after 15 minutes of shutdown, but that changed nothing.

Apart from the extreme solution of resetting to factory settings, which I do not want to consider, has anyone experienced this problem before me?

What are the solutions?

    Have you tried changing the messaging app? Because I also had the same problem with my Xiaomi Poco F5 and since I switched to the Textra SMS app, it works again.

    Hello, this might be due to the new update that everyone is talking about on HYPEROS, there are forums about it.

      It's the same for me since the last update. Everything is fine in the settings, but it doesn't beep for every SMS, for some contacts, there's no signal at all.

    Hello,

    Try the following procedure: open Settings > Notifications and Control Center > App notifications > Messages, there check that everything is checked > Incoming messages > Sound and choose a ringtone.

    Hello, for this issue, press the SMS application for 2 or 3 seconds, then tap on application information, and check to display notifications.
