Hello.
I suggest we start by testing the disk and the integrity of the files.
Download the CrystalDiskInfo program, install it, and run it (be careful to select the correct program: CrystalDiskInfo, not CrystalDiskMark!):
https://crystalmark.info/en/software/crystaldiskinfo/
Provide the status of the disk, preferably with a screenshot. Then, press the Windows and X keys and click on Powershell (admin) and copy the command:
CHKDSK /F /X
Respond with "y" and restart the PC.Finally, open a Powershell (admin) window and enter the command:
DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE /RESTOREHEALTH then validate.
For this command, you must be connected to the internet.Without closing the window, copy the command:
SFC /SCANNOW then validate.Provide the results of these two commands.

Hello.
Try an online system repair with the DISM tool ==>
DISM: repair system files and images of Windows 10, 11 - malekal.com
If there is no improvement we will try with a Windows 11 support and via the SETUP.
See you . . .

THANK YOU for your spontaneity
My problem remains the same knowing that I cannot launch the command prompt or terminal. Just in case, I used the Windows repair command found with the command '--start--shut down---then shift restart to access the command prompt where I applied sfc scannow and it yielded no results. However, I also entered DISM in the terminal... it reported an error or unknown image does not exist.

Hello.
As I mentioned to you, the DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE /RESTOREHEALTH command requires an internet connection.
If nothing works, follow Malekal's tutorial to reinstall Windows without data or application loss, which is very well done as long as you follow the tutorial without clicking on the links (otherwise, you won't know where you are).

Hello.
With a Windows 11 support written on a USB stick (8 GB empty of any files) and then launching the SETUP, the problem would have been fixed. Now it is a bit late, but through the attached tutorial, you will have the steps to follow. For Windows 10 or 11, it's the same.
For a Windows 11 ISO ==>
Windows 11 Download (microsoft.com)
See you...
