I'm looking for a TV series I used to watch when I was little. It must have been in the '90s. I don't have much info about this series. I remember it was about a doctor in a place with a beach. I especially recall an episode where one of his students attempted to commit suicide because he didn't want to do surgery and didn't dare to tell his mother. Like many of you, I have snippets of episodes from series stuck in my head and I don't know how to find the common thread, which is quite annoying. So if someone could help me remember the titles of these series or provide additional information about them, I would appreciate it and it would be nice of you. Both were likely aired on TF1 or France 2. The first one centers on two teenagers (14-15, maybe 16 years old?) in love with each other, and their respective parents, who are colleagues at an observatory or a space research center, possibly in Australia or in an arid region like Arizona. I believe the mother has curly hair and the father is balding. They don't have any particular problems except those related to their age, but here's the drama: both parents, each single, also fall in love with each other and decide to get married, which would make the two teenagers brother and sister. But I’m not sure if this element is the main point of the story or just a minor subplot. And of course, I’m not certain about each of the details I remember. The second series is about a young girl who lives in the sea (like a mermaid but without a tail) who, for some unknown reason, has to find and then assemble blue fragments (made of polystyrene, poorly disguised, by the way) while avoiding being stolen by villains. I believe she is mute or speaks an unknown language, but that’s very vague. She is helped by two young boys, I think they are two brothers, and perhaps they live in a submarine.

However, check out the "planet youth" website, you’ll probably find what you’re looking for as this site is very comprehensive (I don’t have the time to do this research, sorry).
