Hello,

I would like to be able to preview Libre Office files in Windows Explorer.

I haven't found the corresponding extension.

What could be the solution?

Thank you in advance.

    Hello,

Which Windows OS are you on?

I am running Windows 10 on one side and Windows Server 2019 on the other, and I would like to have the same capability on both.

I am using the latest version of LibreOffice (7.5).

      Hello,

It seems that it does not depend on the version of Windows used or not, but rather on the fact that, at least in recent versions of Libre Office/Open Office, this viewer does not exist and relies to function...on an installation higher than Microsoft Office 2007 on the machine.

A plan B would be to zip the target file and then unzip it to change the version of the Manifest, which is impractical since it would have to be done for each file (see link above, comment 16)

There is supposedly a thumbnail viewer extension in the Libre Office settings, but nobody reports that it works.

        Hello,

        Thank you for this information.

It is unfortunate to see that no extension is available for a productivity suite that is constantly growing in various personal and professional installations.

        Best regards,

On the other hand, I use the print preview feature in Microsoft Office to check that my layout is suitable, but what is the point of a preview in the explorer?

Considering the multiplication of files that do not always have an explicit name, this preview facilitates the recognition of documents without having to open them.
