Hello everyone,

Recently, all media players can no longer read my video files, despite downloading the latest codecs.

I'm on Windows 10 and the following message appears with MPC - HC:

Hello and thank you for your response,

The MPC-HC player is at the latest version 2.0.05 and I have the latest codecs.

The files are videos from 2023 with the extension: .mkv

MPC-HC instead displays a window stating that it cannot render

certain elements of the graph, the necessary codecs or filters are not on your computer.

Appropriate filter: File Source (Async.) Output Media and the technical definitions stated in my first request.

Where could I find an update for filters, please?

Hello, MKV is a container that holds different audio, video, and text streams. Your computer needs to download other streams with different codecs that are not supported by your PC. With "Media Info," you could detect these incompatible files.

MKV is referred to as (matryoshka) Russian dolls.

Note that a codec pack is not a cure-all; you can try to make a new attempt to import the pack.
