Hello,

having tried to install a Crucial BX500 SSD on an Asus all-in-one ET2230i, it turns out to be incompatible with the PC as stated on the manufacturer's website (https://www.crucial.fr/compatible-upgrade-for/asus/all-in-one-et2230i). Apparently, the ICH8 chipset of the PC is the problem. Does anyone know which SSD would be compatible with this PC?

The installation of Windows 7 or 10 was done with some crashes, and after installation, the crashes continued. The disk usage light on the PC would turn off as if the disk reading had stopped.

    Hello,

Normally the SATA standard should be compatible.

ICH8 is a motherboard from around 2007, right?

Does it have the latest BIOS?

I don't know if she has the latest BIOS. In any case, Crucial doesn't offer any SSD for this PC.

Normally, any 2.5" SATA SSD should do the trick. You would likely need to replace the HDD with it. If it's in a 3.5" bay, there are converters available from 3.5" to 2.5". Apparently, this PC only has 4GB of RAM. Upgrading to at least 8GB of RAM would help this PC run more smoothly.
