Lenovo Legion Y540 Power Issue

Hello,
I own a Lenovo Legion Y540 PC. Recently, it refused to turn on due to a power issue. I had it repaired and was given back a new adapter/charger.
Today (4-5 months later), I'm receiving an error message on my PC saying that the adapter doesn't have a high enough voltage. My PC will only charge when plugged into certain outlets now. I've realized that the adapter I currently have is a 170W adapter. However, I believe I remember that the adapter I had when I bought my computer was a 530W adapter.
Could the issue be due to this and not my computer? Do I need to buy a new charger/adapter?
Thank you in advance for your responses.

hi dep
the chargers we find vary from 170 watts to 230 watts
- I doubt the 530 watts??? (it would be as big as that of a desktop PC)
