IPhone 12 brightness very low after screen replacement

Hello,

having broken the OLED screen of my iPhone 12 (but the touch was still working), I had it repaired by my brother-in-law (replacement of an iPhone 12 screen + OLED).
When turning on the screen, the Apple logo is nice and white, but once it lights up (unlock screen), the screen dims even though the brightness gauge is at max. I checked the white point settings, and it's not checked, so it's normal.
Where do you think the problem might come from?

    Generally, it should be repaired by an Apple certified specialist. A screen is just too fragile.

    I know, but paying 350 euros for the repair was a bit painful, I admit… and my brother-in-law has already repaired screens several times.

      You will have to go to an Apple store. Not much choice.

      Question: Is it still under warranty (2 years from the date of purchase)?

        If I don't see a solution, I'm going to completely change it for a new one. It's a refurbished one from Backmarket, I should never have bought from them in the first place because the battery has been really bad since I got it (last May). The warranty is void :(

        Avoid touching the inside (the components) of the smartphone with your fingers. Use a suitable pair of gloves for this type of handling.

        Got it, I'll do what it takes and keep you updated. But if there's really nothing we can do, I'll just go buy a brand new one at Apple instead of spending 350 euros.
