Hello.

Since this morning, I have a blur that covers my background and I can't find how to remove it either on YouTube or Google.

Does anyone have the solution?

I will attach a screenshot; it will be more precise.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,

If the Gmail background theme is blurred, it is because the latest version of Gmail is installed.

It is now impossible to revert to the previous version of Gmail.

The option has been removed:

The new Gmail interface is reaching the point of no return.

The New Features.

The blur is also present with a custom image as a background theme.

Here is my blurred custom image of my Gmail theme following the latest update:

It should gather without the blurred effect to the one below:

I have not found the option to remove the blurred effect from the theme or the custom image.

But this option still exists.

Let's see how to improve the theme or the blurred custom image.

Open Gmail.

Click on the gear icon located at the top right.

Scroll down to the section --► Themes

Click on --► See all

There is indeed a Blur option.

Unfortunately, this last one has no effect to remove the blur.

Google had the ==► Procedure

But it is no longer current.

The only option found to date is to enable the dark background text mode.

Click on the gear icon located at the top right.

Scroll down to the section --► Themes

Click on --► See all

Click on the chosen theme, but this is not necessary.

Click on the letter icon A

Click on --► Dark

(Text background--► Choose text background)

Click on --► Save

Certainly, it's not there yet, but the blurred effect is diminished.

Scalpel, thank you for your lengthy response,

however, I have tried all the methods that you suggested.

And I am sorry to see that an update, without my consent, was put in place.

Too bad, there's nothing left to do but look elsewhere.

Original view:

==► You can no longer go back to the old version of Gmail

Google has confirmed that the new design of Gmail "will become the standard Gmail experience," with no option to revert to the old design (also called "original view"). The new design has been rolled out for everyone since November 8, but the change will not take effect for some accounts until late November 2022 or early December.

Participants are also in the..... ''blur''......

==► This display does not please me at all over my background image

==► I would like to return to the original Gmail display (the new one set itself up)

Gmail Desktop:

Fix for the login page in dark mode

This in version --►v3.0.0-alpha.35

One could assume that Google/Gmail has not had its last word given the negative feedback regarding the display of the theme or custom theme.

Therefore, a fix can be expected by then.

In the meantime, users will have to make do, as they have no cards in hand to remedy it. (on the blur option)

We still have to know if there will be a resolution and in how much time?

Thank you, Pistouri, for your long and well-explained response. I tried all that, and with a bit of patience in the settings and with Dark Reader, the blurring is much less present.

This is what I get, and it doesn't bother me too much, "even though I prefer my original background."

I'll have to live with it :-)

Hello,

This concerns the page on the left, right?... I don't see any blur except for a slight haze on the image.

Hello.

Yes, it’s this veil that I want to remove so that it returns to how it was in my second email on the right.

Thank you for your response.

Restart your PC to see if this veil is still present?

After restarting, it's still the same. :-(

Did you install an app yesterday that could have created this unwanted blur?

No, it happened to me once before and I found a tutorial on YouTube to solve the problem, but the video no longer exists and I don't remember the steps "I'm old and it's been a long time" lol

I found that if it can help, you need to go to the Main Menu and check this box "original display".

There you go, that's all.

In fact, it's not sorted, I don't have the "Main menu" category on my main email, grrrr.

It's still crazy to be on 2 Gmail accounts and have different settings . . . . .
