Practically impossible to ensure perfect confidentiality, even the high-security phones of the world’s top leaders have been tapped, revelations are made by journalists a few months or years after the events.

Even the most complex encrypted data and VPNs do not prevent tracking who is communicating with whom, from where to where.

Internet was originally designed to serve as an internal network at a university solely for the purpose of facilitating exchanges among those who desired it.

In practice, it's done in just two phone calls. This is clear evidence that everything can be known if one is willing to put in the means. Here we are only talking about the "legal" way to obtain information.

In reality, one must add all the means that circumvent confidentiality options.

Simply put, the owner has a right of access, but it's not you most of the time.

"Parental" options are automatically offered on almost all plans.

A simple program can record keystrokes without your knowledge, etc.

The latest trend is to geo-locate one’s children in real-time using their phones.

These are all means to "protect one’s children," of course.
