Spam on Snapchat... Is it possible?

Hello,
Am I going to come off as naïve, but is it possible for a person to receive porn snaps supposedly without knowing how or having requested these snaps?
The snaps in question are messages in English that clearly seem designed to attract the person to erotic dating sites, and the messages contain links to short videos of women nude "pleasuring themselves" or simply showing their bodies. And the messages in question remain in Snapchat; they don't disappear like they usually do.
Once the person has accepted the friend request from one of these profiles, other profiles also request to be friends and send her similar messages. There is only one long message with links to porn videos sent per profile, and even if we write to these profiles, there is never a response. Additionally, it is often practically impossible to find these same profiles from another Snapchat account.
Given how Snapchat works, I find it strange that someone can send messages that never disappear (even without selecting the option to save messages) and that we cannot find the "porn" profiles from another Snap account.
Does anyone know this system/principle, and what can you tell me about it, how does one obtain such messages on Snapchat?
