Office tape to fix a bare wire

Good evening, I have a naked USB Type-C charger at home and I would like to repair it while waiting to buy another one. I saw that heat-resistant tape is the most recommended solution, but I don't have any at the moment. I have clear tape used for regular paper; does wrapping it around the exposed cable pose a risk of catching fire or another risk? I know it's probably not the best solution, but I just want to know if it's risky or not.

Hello,

No risk with a piece of tape, it doesn't heat up to 50 degrees.
