Hello,

For some time now, I've been receiving a constant notification for a pairing request on my LG TV.

This means I can't do anything because it keeps coming and going.

At first, I thought it was my TV's fault, but my daughter also has a smart TV in her room from another brand and receives the same request.

I checked the settings on my TV, but the only thing I could do was block the HDMI 1 port.

The only issue is that by blocking this port, I can't watch my channels on my box, since it is connected to that port.

I also changed ports to connect my box to HDMI 2, and the pairing notification transferred to HDMI 2.

I haven't found anything in my Freebox that would allow me to disable these constant requests.

I would need your help because I don't know what to do anymore.

Thank you in advance.

Hello
You haven't specified the model of your TV.
This kind of notification usually comes from the Bluetooth function of televisions or set-top boxes that receive a pairing request from another device, either at your place or from a neighbor.
So, we first need to know what this 89G is to finish the pairing process and/or see if you can disable Bluetooth in the menus.

Best regards

Hello, the model is LG WebOS TV UJ620V. I have already looked to disable Bluetooth but I can't find anything on the TV or the Freebox. The thing is that when I reset the Freebox during the restart, I don't get the notification, it only reappears once the restart is finished.

As for the 89G, I have no idea what that could be, probably a neighbor but very hard to find.

Thank you.

No one at your place has downloaded LG TV PLUS on their phone or tablet and attempted to set it up?

If the message does not appear when the TV box is unplugged, it's certainly a conversation that was initiated through an app that the TV box controls on the television.

You can see on the right side of your image that a code 0000 or ???? is suggested.

Have you tried this 0000 or, for example, the parental code associated with the box?

Hello

As for the code, I tried 0000 or 1234 as suggested but nothing works.

Regarding the app you mentioned, we haven't downloaded anything.

Two things seem strange to me.

The first is that this so-called notification keeps coming and going without me touching anything; sometimes I don't even have time to try entering a code before it disappears.

The second is that I changed internet providers in the meantime, and this notification was already appearing with the old provider but had stopped by itself; now it's back again.

And the parental code for the box?

As they suggest entering 0000 or 1234, it seems that this relates to the various possible locks. These codes are the initial codes for the television and probably for the TV box.

What is the model of your Freebox TV?

I just searched a bit everywhere and I made a mistake, I also have the notification with the box turned off. I unplugged the TV box and not the Freebox. So once I turn off both the Freebox and the TV box, the notification is still there.

I noticed one thing, if I go into the TV settings----all settings-----sound----sound output----LG Sound Sync/Bluetooth----device selection-----search-----available device, it finds 89g.

By default, it is not connected, but whether I select it or not, I do not see any change.

There is therefore a Bluetooth device "89G" at your place that is recognized by the television and which, in my opinion, as soon as it is nearby, attempts to pair with the television. This is what triggers this notification on the screen.
See the section "Connecting and using a wireless audio device": http://kr.eguide.lgappstv.com/manual/w17_mr/dvb/Contents/settings/sound/soundout_e_a_t/fre/w35__settings__sound__soundout_e_a_t__fre.html

Now we just need to find the culprit. A headset, a soundbar, others

OK, one thing I don't understand is that I installed a Bluetooth scan application on my phone to see the connected devices and try to find it, but it doesn't detect 89G while the TV does...

I did the same thing on PC, it doesn't detect it either.

The 89G is probably an identifier that only the television has memorized

I think the only way to find out which device this is:

  • go around your devices that could work via Bluetooth.
  • turn them off (or disable the Bluetooth function) one by one.
  • launch a detection from the television each time and see when this 89G disappears

Hello,

I think this is the beginning of the wifi pairing process with the Freebox.

What model is this LG television?
