PhoneExperienceHost.exe - What triggers it?

Hello,

For the past few days, I've been receiving a notification from my antivirus saying that PhoneExperienceHost.exe has connected to the Internet.

Why is it activating?

My phone is an iPhone, but I never use it on a PC.

Could it be that this program connects to my phone without my consent?

Hello,

This is a "new" Windows 10 service that allows you to synchronize your phone and PC, but it is primarily designed to work with Android and is installed by default.

Check in settings-phone that there is no associated phone; you can disable or uninstall it as follows.
