To check if the location option is enabled for Instagram on Android:

• Press and hold the Instagram icon
• Shortcuts will appear. Tap the little i located in the upper right corner of the info bubble
• The app info will open
• Tap on "Permissions"
• Then tap on "Location", this way you will know if it is enabled

To check if the location option is enabled for Instagram on iOS:

• Open the settings on your iPhone
• Tap on Privacy, then on Location Services
• Scroll down and tap on Instagram
• Select Never or While Using the App to grant access to location

I have exactly the same problem for several months.

However, with another account on the same phone it works, I don't understand the problem, all the settings are identical for both accounts.
