Broken lens cover - ENEL19 coolpix S3500

Hello,
I really need your help as I will soon need my device. I handled and played with the protective cover a bit too much when I was younger. The bottom part of the cover is therefore half bent and scratched, and the cover no longer opens properly. It only slightly opens when I turn on the camera. Could you give me some suggestions for repairs that I could do myself? Also, do you have any reliable websites that sell (new or used) chargers for the Coolpix S3500 battery?
Thank you in advance :)

The protection shutter is operated by the zoom movement. To access and replace it, you need to disassemble the entire zoom.
First, you need to check if the part exists... See if you can find another broken device or a complete lens as a replacement....
Then check if you can find a tutorial for disassembly on YouTube, for example, or the service manual in PDF...
It's small mechanics... it requires precision and patience.
I'm not sure it's worth it...-
Thank you very much for the quick response. I'm going to look into it a bit, but it might be complicated since my device is already about 10 years old.. And I had already browsed the manual online but found nothing, I will take another look at it in a bit more detail. But indeed, according to a photo tutorial I found for disassembling the lens of a similar device, it looks extremely delicate and I don't think I have that much patience.
I'm probably going to go to a specialized store as well to see if it's really a lost cause, so I don't waste too much time.
Have a good day.
The most important thing is to know if there are spare parts available from the manufacturer or in OEM (compatible). Sometimes you can salvage parts from a device with a different malfunction... that's if you want to try your hand at repairs.
It took me 2 days to replace the shutters and the protective lens on a Canon G11.But I wouldn't have embarked on this adventure if I hadn't found the service manual or any video tutorials.
If you're in Paris, there are specialized stores for camera repairs (probably in other regions as well).
