The printer prints a test page on startup.

Hello,
my HP DeskJet 2723e printer prints a test page every time it starts up. Even when scanning it as indicated on the page.

    Hello,

    I think there is an alignment issue with your ink cartridges.

    Try this:

    1. Remove the cartridges, and close the access door.
    2. Unplug the power cable, and wait for the printer to turn off completely. Wait 10 seconds.
    3. Plug the cable back in, and wait until the message: "insert cartridges" or a similar message appears.
    4. Insert the cartridges.
    5. Let the test page print, then place it on the scanner glass.
    6. Close the glass cover, then press the "Scan" button and wait for the test page to be scanned.
    7. Test your machine again.

    I did what you wrote. It's still the same thing.
    Each time I start the printer, a test page comes out, which I scan.
    I leave the printer on.

    What OS is your PC running? (W10/W11) in 32 or 64 bits?

    To find out, type DXDIAG in the search bar and click on Open

    Check the line --> operating system, and give me the info

    Have you changed the cartridges before on the printer?

    Have you "scanned" with the printer before?

    Did you remove the protective tab from the ink cartridge?

    Is it an original cartridge or a compatible one?

      Hello - I'm facing the same problem - I did not replace the color, only the black cartridge but the Essentiel de Boulanger (and not HP) must be used - (not using color at the moment) - Could this be a cartridge compatibility issue? With every print request, a message appears saying "printing error" on Photosmart C3100
      the cartridge is indeed installed properly.
